GOP Doctors Caucus Endorses No Surprises Enforcement Act

July 23, 2026

Washington, D.C. - The GOP Doctors Caucus announces its endorsement of H.R. 4710, the No Surprises Enforcement Act. This bipartisan, bicameral legislation strengthens enforcement of the No Surprises Act and ensures this patient protection law works as Congress intended.

"When Congress passed the No Surprises Act, we made a promise to patients: you will not be caught in the middle of a billing dispute between your insurer and your doctor," said Co-Chairs Rep. Greg Murphy, M.D. & Rep. John Joyce, M.D. "That promise is only as good as our willingness to enforce it. Physicians did not ask to be part of a billing fight; they asked to be paid on time for care that was already delivered. This legislation makes clear that the deadlines Congress wrote into law are not optional, and that the practices holding our communities together will not be left waiting."
