The GOP Doctors Caucus hosted Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Doug Collins to discuss health care challenges and priorities in the 119th Congress.  During the meeting, Secretary Collins covered a wide variety of issues, including the Community Care program, PACT Act implementation, standardization of the health record system, and expanding the physician workforce.

“Secretary Collins presented a bold vision to put our veterans first and strengthen the Department of Veterans Affairs,” said GOP Doctors Caucus Co-Chairs Greg Murphy, M.D. & John Joyce, M.D. “We had a robust and collaborative conversation about improving care for our veterans and health outcomes. Many of our members have firsthand experience of the shortfalls of the Veterans Health Administration and provided valuable insight from the provider’s perspective. We are confident that Secretary Collins will bring necessary and lasting improvements to the VA, and we are eager to continue working with him.”
