GOP Doctors Caucus Hosts Trump Administration Officials to Discuss Priorities

The GOP Doctors Caucus hosted White House officials Vince Haley, Director of the Domestic Policy Council of the United States, Theo Merkel, Special Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy, and Corey Ensslin, the Director for Health Policy, to discuss the challenges facing American medicine and the Trump Administration’s priorities.
The GOP Doctors Caucus is committed to reducing the rampant waste, fraud, and abuse in federal health programs; fixing the cuts to Medicare physician reimbursement; and addressing diminishing access to care, industry consolidation, and the chronic disease and obesity epidemic.
“American health care is failing to meet the needs of patients across the nation despite expenditures continuing to rise,” said Co-Chairs Greg Murphy, M.D. & John Joyce, M.D. “President Trump has a unique opportunity to deliver historic progress saving Medicare by improving access to care, lowering costs, and rooting out abuse of our federal health programs. Medicine is suffering greatly at the hands of bureaucracy and greed, and is in desperate need of an intervention. We look forward to continuing to work closely with the White House to enact meaningful change that puts patients first.”
